K C KNUDSON
Mr. K. C. Knudson is the Chairman, CEO or President of Knudson Investment Co., Inc.; Knudson Management Co., Inc.; and Knudson General Contractors Corp., and the managing member of Knudson Development Company, LLC, all headquartered in Council Bluffs, Iowa. K.C. is a founding member of the Knudson Foundation, a non-profit entity devoted to supporting programs encouraging music performance and appreciation among our youth. He was a member of the Young Presidents Organization and was selected as the Outstanding Young Iowan in 1980.
In 1969, Knudson General Contractors began building commercial and residential properties. In 1985, Knudson Management Company was formed to manage many of the residential properties that KGCC built. In 1990, Knudson acquired and renovated properties throughout the United States and in the early 2000’s, Knudson entered the luxury housing market. K.C. is not only a pioneer in the development and management of commercial and residential housing, he is a leader in the luxury housing industry of the future. His expertise in affordable housing, low-income tax credit properties, development and management of historical properties, homeownership programs, syndication of properties and investors, construction building and management is what make him truly an expert in his field.
Since 1974, K. C. Knudson, or an organization with which he is affiliated, has acquired, developed, constructed, or operated over 6,000 housing units including apartment complexes, high-rise buildings, large residential developments and single-family homes.
MICHAEL TOWNSEND
Michael Townsend joined the Knudson Companies in 2019 and is President of Knudson Development, LLC. Michael has more than thirty-five years of Commercial and Residential Development/Construction experience including Third Party Management and Development; Redevelopment Projects; Industrial, Office, Retail, Residential, and Multi-Family Projects. He has developed more than 8.5 million square feet in 5 states and managed over 25 million square feet of Commercial and Residential Property in 9 states. Michael also has extensive Real Estate Finance experience with over $1billion in loans created over the past 25 years.
CHRISTIE JOHNSEN
Ms. Christie Johnsen is President of Knudson Management Co., Inc. The Knudson family of companies has employed her for over forty five years, since 1975. At that time, the Company was operating as a general contractor doing construction work in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Colorado. Presently she is the Vice President & Secretary/Treasurer of Knudson Companies. She holds a real estate brokers license in the states of Iowa and Nebraska. Ms. Johnsen graduated summa cum laude from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on accounting.
PAT O’DOWD
Ms. Pat O’Dowd is Vice President of The Knudson Companies. The Knudson family of companies has employed her since 1982. She currently holds a real estate broker’s license in the state of Nebraska. Ms. O’Dowd has been involved in the acquisition, development, construction, marketing and management of over 2,000 apartment units in the states of Arizona, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, and Texas. She supervised and coordinated a homeownership program in Columbus, Ohio that involved acquisition, renovation and sales of 150 single-family homes to low-income households. The success of this homeownership program received national recognition by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. She was also involved with overseeing the operations of a concrete manufacturer of precast manholes in Houston. Ms. O’Dowd is currently responsible for the operations of multi-family and elderly properties in Nebraska and Iowa. She has extensive knowledge and experience with Section 8 programs administered by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as well as low-income housing tax credit properties and she served as the 504 Coordinator for all properties owned and/or managed by Knudson Management Co.
MARI DAU
Ms. Mari Dau is Vice President of Knudson Management Co., Inc. Ms. Dau was employed with Knudson Management Company from 1987-2011, returning to the company again in 2017. During the six-year absence from Knudson Management, she worked for CB Richard Ellis, overseeing the HUD program for that company. She currently holds a Real Estate License in the State of Iowa. Ms. Dau has been involved in the acquisition, development, marketing and management of units in Texas, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa. Ms. Dau is currently managing properties in Iowa. She has extensive knowledge and experience with rental assistance programs administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (Section 8), USDA Rural Development as well as Low-Income Housing Tax Credit agencies and is currently the 504 Coordinator for all properties owned and/or managed by Knudson Management Company.
ROBIN POSPISIL
Robin Pospisil is the Director of Compliance for Knudson Management Co., Inc. Ms. Pospisil has been employed by Knudson Management Company since 1991 in various capacities and has over thirty years of affordable housing management and compliance experience. Ms. Pospisil began her property management career as an on-site resident manager, promoted to a regional property manager and currently the Director of Compliance for Knudson’s affordable housing portfolio. She was the recipient of the Manager of the Year award in 1994 presented by USDA Rural Development. She currently holds a Real Estate License in the State of Nebraska. Ms. Pospisil works closely with Owners, Contract Administrators, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (Section 8), Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Agencies and USDA Rural Development.
J D KNUDSON
Mr. J.D. Knudson is a Director of Knudson Companies. He has worked with the Knudson family of companies in many capacities for over 20 years. He has been involved in the acquisition, development, construction and management of commercial, residential and multi-family projects in seven states. Mr. Knudson graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
TONI KNUDSON
Toni Knudson is the President of Knudson Interiors. Toni’s signature design philosophy personifies contemporary elegance. Her position involves overseeing the design, construction and interiors of many diverse commercial and residential projects. A desire to have a more hands on approach led her to found Knudson Interiors and focus on luxury residential properties.
As President of Knudson Interiors she oversees design to realize the Knudson vision of luxury living. Inspiration is drawn from her extensive travels and life experience. Toni is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute, founder of Recalibrate Body Mind Spirit and a board member of the Knudson Foundation. Combining her passion for design and knowledge in food, music, and wellness she is able to orchestrate extraordinary spaces designed to live life graciously to the fullest. Collaboration with art consultants, chefs, wine specialists and classical musicians help create a dynamic and original space that is unique on every level.
